Waxing FAQ
How long does waxing last?
Results typically last 3–6 weeks depending on your individual hair growth cycle. Regular waxing slows regrowth over time — the more consistently you wax, the finer and sparser the regrowth becomes. Most clients book every 4 weeks to maintain smooth results.
How long does my hair need to be?
About 0.5–1cm — roughly the length of a grain of rice. That's usually 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. Too short and the wax won't grip; too long can mean more discomfort. If you're not sure, leave it a little longer and we'll advise at your appointment.
Is waxing painful?
There's a brief sting as each section is removed — that's unavoidable — but professional technique makes a real difference. Our therapists work quickly to minimise the experience. More sensitive areas (upper lip, bikini line) can feel more intense, but most clients find it entirely manageable.
Can I be waxed during my period?
Yes. Skin can be more sensitive just before and during your period, so intimate waxing may feel slightly more uncomfortable at those times. If you'd prefer to rebook around your cycle, just call us on 01872 262844 and we'll find a better time.
